WELCOME
West Des Moines Community Schools began their Home School Assistance Program (HSAP) in the 1980s. Throughout the years, the program has grown and changed.
We currently have 14 teachers who work in our program. Supervising teachers are provided to assist families in home schooling. We also offer enrichment classes and a variety of field trips and activities.
It is our goal to help families in their homeschooling endeavors, and we will do our best to serve you in any way we can!

February 13 - We follow a modified schedule from the rest of the district so our Friday students do not miss too many days.

Parents will be able to sign up their 3rd-11th grade students for the Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress standardized testing.

2nd Semester Drama Dates
Rehearsals:
Students enrolled in HSAP drama classes rehearse their lines at home, during drama classes at Rex, and during the following dress rehearsals at Rex:
2nd-3rd Grades: Dress rehearsals during class at Rex
4th-5th Grades: Dress rehearsals during their day at
Rex the week of May 4-7.
6th-12th Grades: Dress rehearsal on Friday, May 1st
(There is a morning session and an afternoon session. More details will be emailed as we get closer to this date.)
Performances:
Students enrolled in HSAP drama classes perform at the end of each semester during the evening of the following dates:
Wednesday Students - May 8th
Tuesday Students - May 12th
Thur. & Fri. Students - May 14th *
Monday Students - May 18th
(This date is a new date for the Friday students.)

Parents will be able to sign up their KG-3rd grade students for the FAST Bridge Reading testing.

All students can sign up to share a talent or project.
Field Days
May 27 or 28 - A sign up and details will be emailed
KG-7th grade students can sign up for a morning or afternoon time of games and activities to wrap up the school year.
End of School Year
May 29, June 1-3
Last week to complete meetings and return materials.
