TAMI PRESCOTT

HOME SCHOOL COORDINATOR

SUPERVISING TEACHER

EDUCATION
I graduated from Boone High School and attended Iowa State University where I received my Bachelor's Degree in Education.  I received my Master's in Education and reading endorsement from Drake University.

EXPERIENCE
After graduating from Iowa State, I began teaching third grade at Fairmeadows Elementary.  When my first child was born, I decided to stay home. They had an opening to work with the homeschooling families. At that time, I was supervising four families.  It has been exciting to watch the program grow over the past 30 years!  We are now serving almost over 550 students!

FAMILY
I have been married to my husband, Jay, for 37 years.  We have two sons, one daughter, two daughter-in-laws, one son-in-law. Our first grandchild, a girl, was born this summer.

INTERESTS
I love running, quilting, knitting, gardening, and baking.

WHY I LOVE TEACHING

I love kids!  It has truly been a blessing to work with the parents and children in our program.
