EDUCATION 
I grew up attending the Des Moines Public Schools and went on to study at Simpson College.  I have a B.A. in Spanish and an M.A. in Teaching, both from Simpson.

EXPERIENCE

I have been a teacher for 8 years, but have also spent 10 years working for the public libraries!

FAMILY 
Austin and I have one daughter, Everly, who was born in 2023.  We also have our cat, Anne Shirley.

INTERESTSA few of my favorite things are spending time with my family, being in nature, hiking, thrifting, eating delicious foods, reading and listening to music.

WHY I LOVE TEACHING

I love sharing the joy of being a lifelong learner.  Whether it's reading, writing, or Spanish, they all help us express ourselves and help us learn about others.  Lastly, I always enjoy getting to know and learning from ALL of our students.
